Karen C's recent work is Alternative Country sounds like country folk,Rockin Roots,new into Southern Fried Rock.Karen's influences are poetic of many cultures and styles may be best described as Cowboy Junkees,Carly Simon,Jann Arden,Bob Dylan not exactly the Woodie Guthrie Days of past or a voice for this generation there is a feel for this" spirit "as being Rock,Roots,Country,folk and alternative with extraordinary explorations in music is cant be pegged to one category as the music is derived and revived from different experiences. The title of Karen's new work is called Platinum Boulevard came to Karen as a concept while visiting in Hollywood California she walked down famed Hollywood Boulevard and on a return visit to Hollywood at a TAXI road rally event started doing rewrites on her tunes after being inspired by aTAXI interview with hit songwriter Desmond Child and by meeting hit writer Ralph Murphy.Karen as a member of the Songwriters Association Canada took courses with Pat Pattison to strengthen her lyric writing skills and this took time to craft songs that would be of her own voice. Karen's work critiqued by Producer Fuzz Bee Morse,films,"The End of The Innocence" Fuzz Bee a Guitarist with Lou Reed,Bowie.Karen immediately started doing rewrites in the Rennaisance Hotel and took her work and experiences back with her to Ambassador Records which happens to be on "Central Park Boulevard " hence the connection and Lou Reed has a title of "Dirty Boulevard.It took another year of production for Karen being her compositons are based in travel,life experience and survival with the human condition with eyes open to a world perspective on her journey with research that consisted of about four years.
